@PeppyPatti I feel for you. I have a similar situation and think it will never be resolved. I just have to wait and see. Stay strong and try not to think about it. I am grateful I have another awesome son.

Wisest thing ever written @Gremlin24
@PeppyPatti , Grems is 💯 % correct.
Unfortunately our children become adults with their own lives. We must respect them as individuals. Not doing so is folly.
Sometimes helping, is not helping.

@Glisten As humans we learn by making mistakes, from children all the way through our adult lives that never stops. Unfortunately sometimes our mistakes hurt others and in @PeppyPatti case your son has hurt you by the choices he is making. But now you can step back knowing you have done everything you can and it's up to him to learn from what he's done/doing.
I know it's hard and it will hurt cos we want to be there for them every step of the way. But for now it's time for you to look out for you, protect yourself and if or when he's ready to come back then you will be able to be there to support him.

@Gibbs I hope things work out for you. It's so hard to not think about it and staying strong sometimes feels impossible. But we have to trust and hope that they will be ok and learn from their mistakes.
