@Mindee unfortunately I live in a cabin at a caravan park, and currently I don't have anywhere comfortable to sit, or room to even place the materials. I did get my partner to find the one that I started and still needs to be completing, out. So that is currently sitting under the TV. I have issues with my back, so I can't make room on the kitchen table/computer desk. I have to rely on my partner who works full time to do it for me.
I just found the Hobbies & Projects Discussions, so I am hoping if I start seeing other people posting their work, it will build up my enthusiasm.

hi @Mustang67
what a creative way to get back into creative things - seeing other people's work and having yours nearby to motivate your own creativity - soo clever
It's always hard when there is limited space, I know some people get "stable table" kind of things to balance their artwork on...or help from your partner to set it up sounds good.
This group sounds so positive for what you are looking for 🙂

@Mindee I forgot to mention the reason I have no motivation is because the antidepressant that I was one (which made me feel the best I have in 23 years) was discontinued. So, my pharmacist just changed my medication over to the generic brand without telling me.
I love coin collecting, so when I started to lose interest and would let my coin deliveries sit there for 6 weeks without bothering to open them, I knew something was not right. I questioned the pharmacist, and that's when he told me, he changed it to the generic. I felt so sad and miserable, I didn't know what to do with myself. When I told the pharmacist that they were not working, he suggested trying another generic brand of the same medication. So, we did that. And while this medication has taken away that miserable sadness, I still don't feel right. I basically feel numb, and most days I don't even bother to get out of bed, as I have nothing to get up for.
I saw my doctor, and she referred me to a bulk billing psychiatrist close by. But then I received a phone call from the clinic saying that the psychiatrist has denied my referral. They did tell me why, but i was in shock, so I didn't hear what she said. I have another doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks, where I was going to ask her to do another referral.
A lovely member on here asked if we had a Psychiatrist Medication Advice Line in my state. I had never heard of such a thing. And I looked it up and we do. So, I will take the information to the doctors, to see if she would use that service, so I can hopefully, find a better medication sooner. Because who knows how long the wait is to get an appointment.

oh gosh sudden medication changes are really tough especially when they have such a significant impact. So great you have followed up and persevered with the Dr, and now have access to that phone line.
Keep persevering and seeking inspiration - get back into your coins they sound like something you are passionate about 🙂

@Mindee there is stuff on the kitchen table that needs to be put somewhere. But hopefully soon, we will be making a trip to my mums to store my belonging that are in the spare room, as I am trying to make the room look presentable, so my daughter can sleep over if she wants to.
When we take that stuff down, I will get my partner to pack up the non-essential items from the area on and around the table and take then as well. Then I would have a lovely place to colour or do the diamond art.
But the only issue is my partner is 3/4s the way through throwing out 80% of my belongings from my lifetime, which are stored in a shipping container on a locked premises. So, I'll probably have to wait until that is done first, as it is costing me money each month to store mouldy and destroyed belongings. So, it probably won't be soon that I can start it, but it will be eventually. But that will be my goal for the next few months.

@Mindee Diamond Art or what I know as diamond dots is when you have a canvas like picture that has been covered with glue, and then you have plastic little dots which you pick up on the end of a pen like tool and then stick them to the correct colour. The dots have been cut to make them sparkle, so they look like diamonds. It is a bit like painting by numbers. This is the last one that I completed.
And yes, I am very passionate about my coins. I was in a very bad place mentally when I saw on the news how the change in your pocket could be worth more than face value. So that peeked my attention. I went online and did some research on what sort of coins I need to look for in my change. But with the coloured $2 coins they usually only mint 2 million of them, which makes them rare, and an item to collect. I was talking about this newfound fact at my partner's workshop and the boss, his son and the handyman all already collect $2 coins. So, when the Woolworths $2 coins were released, I would drop my partner to work and then visit 2 different Woolworths stores to get the enough $2 coins for all of us. The handyman told me that his daughter collects coins, and he put me in tough with her, and I have been hooked ever since. I still look in my change, especially for a year 2000 $1 coin that had a double rim on the heads side of the coin. As depending on the condition of the coin, can be worth over $1,000. I mainly collect 1oz silver coins and have just moved into buying bullion coins. But the coin collecting community are a wonderful bunch of people who are willing to give up their time to pass on their knowledge. I have met some beautiful people on Facebook and Tic Tok and also won some awesome coins. So, at a time when I was really struggling, this gave me an out and something to be interested in. i wasn't socialising at all before, and while it is rare that I socialise in person now, I am more than happy to have a chat with the members of all the different coin sites that I am on. Usually when I talk about coins, my face lights up and I get really excited. Just in case you couldn't tell. Lol

@Bunniekins I found the Hobbies & Projects discussion group by accident tonight. And most of our usual wonderful friends are on there. It was only by chance when scrolling through the messages I saw someone ask where all the diamond art people are, and that got my attention, so I have been looking through it this morning.
How are you currently travelling with everything that's going on with your son?

@Mustang67 Thanks for explaining diamond art to me. Glad you enjoy coin collecting so much. I used to collect stamps and I have my father’s stamp collection. Some of them might be worth something. I recently got one of those coloured coins. Have kept it. I have a 3 peso Cuban note. Cuban coins are made of nickel so they are very light. My hobby is gardening. I also like to do chair yoga. I like puzzles and reading novels as well.
