@Mustang67 Hello lovely how are you? I love your affirmations. Thank you for remembering to tag me. I’m really hoping my tapering efforts will bring success as your affirmation says.
What do you have on today?

@PeppyPatti Hello my dear friend. I love that you are on the forums. It’s beautiful having you here. I learn so much from you and you are such a caring and loving human too.
@Mustang67 I didn’t realise you were having gall bladder removed. When will that be?

@heartathome Hello lovely. Sending you big hugs. This is a tough one isnt it. I’m a parent too though my adult child hasn’t gone through this. For me I would do my very best to support them. To do my very best looking after my mental health is important too. As parents we don’t need to know everything and helping where you can is ok. As a human yourself you too need to look after your mental health and only do what you have capacity to do. You are an excellent parent doing the very best you can.

Just as you said the IT was better today, the support button didn't work! 😆Thanks for your support, @Cuddlebear. Yeah. I agree with you. I need to look out for myself and knowing what he's taking only worries me! I'm always there when he needs me! I have to detach somehow, in a certain way in which I don't have constant anxiety about the next time he uses and goes into psychosis! Trying to be a 'good' parent is hard work! 😉 I know you're feeling like s*** so I won't say have a good day, but I wish 'a day' for you with much support from the forum. I don't know about your relationships/ friendships outside, but I hope you get a bit of love out there today, too! 💚

Hi @Mustang67 and others. Happy Wednesday! Thanks for the tag @Mustang67 - very much appreciated and so thoughtful of you! I hope your day has gone well for you so far. I also love your posts as well.
@Dreamy Once again, thank you for the affirmations you’ve been posting lately. I really enjoy reading them and find them to be very helpful.
In my tool shed of mental health resources, I’ve been using my knitting needles to make beanies along with my crochet hook to make granny squares for blankets - all for charity. I’ve also picked up my cross stitch supplies and have been working on a clown fish cross stitch bookmark to help me deal with some mental health and personal issues I’ve been experiencing lately. Watching sport on TV has also been used as a distraction technique- thanks to the Spring Racing Carnival horse racing here in Victoria.
Take care!

@heartathome Yes it’s difficult being a parent. What I do know about you is that you are being the best parent which you can be. You’re an excellent parent caring about your son. You do need to detach in a way that decreases your anxiety. It’s important for you and for him. Do you have any support off the forums?
I am mostly on my own. Friends I supported for years are not interested now that I’m unwell. I have a friend who does try to help and I appreciate that. They are quite sick at the moment so I’m giving them some space and support too. They have a terrible cold it’s an awful one and they have other chronic illness so it’s really affected them. Other than that I have no one. My adult daughter is working night shifts and studying full time and messages but hasn’t been able to offer support. Having said that as a parent I also don’t want to burden them. It would be nice to see them though.

@Cuddlebear I've not been able to get through again today. Just knowing that you and others are here helps to know that I'm not alone ❤️.
I'm sorry you don't have anyone to call and that your friend didn't reply. I hear you on the support numbers, it can be very frustrating. We are always here for you sweet, i really hope things start getting easier for you ❤️.

Thank you @Cuddlebear I have one friend where I live, and I zoom with my psychiatrist once a month which has been lifesaving. I've been very fortunate to have been able to see him for over 20 years. I usually talk to him about my son but sometimes a month is too long, which is how the question came to be. I'm sorry that your 'friends' have left you alone on the outside but so many people love and care about you on the forum! We're with our own people. The forums great that way! Thankfully we both feel supported on here. Since you don't see your daughter, I shall appreciate the effort my son makes to keep in touch more. What is your daughter studying?

I don't know what's been happening but 'm so happy that you're feeling overwhelmed in a beautiful way! Sounds like life is being good to you. You deserve every good thing! @PeppyPatti 💛
