@DownMoreThanUp wow that is amazing about the veteran.
My doctor suggested that I do some
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, but when I started looking into it. I came across some people that said it was the worst decision they ever made and one guy ended up in hospital so traumatised. Here is a link from one person.

Then I came across a TED talk about Psychedelic therapy and it sounded very interesting.

@REDLINEZ750 all I remember from the couple of times that I used it as a teenager, was that I was tired & hungry and more inclined to get laid. Lol

@REDLINEZ750 I am hoping that if it is being done by a trained professional the EMDR therapy could work.
But some of the negative things I have read have turned me off from it. I don't need to be retraumatised while doing therapy that is supposed to help me.

My psychologist that i trust totally and believe from her actions not just words cares about my existance put EMDR in a way i understood it before i got into it.
she said they want to activate your trauma response deliberately and show you its controlable.
thats emdr in a nutshell.
it is definetly dangerous @Mustang67 yet has worked in those that are prepared

@REDLINEZ750 yes I think that's the key. To use someone that knows how to prepare you for it. I know it is a while away for you, but I truly hope it works for you.
