Re: I can’t cope

Pizza sounds great @Captain24

Whenever I can't muster the energy to wash my hair I just douse it in dry shampoo and tie it back and no one is any the wiser

I gotta run, but I hope you have a good night and that tomorrow goes well! I'm keen to hear all about it if you're up to sharing

Re: I can’t cope

@Jynx. You around?

Re: I can’t cope

hi @Captain24 just wanted to let you know that jynx isn't on tonight. i'm around tho so feel free to tag me if you wanna chat or just want me to sit with ya 😊

Re: I can’t cope

Thanks for that @rav3n

Im just really struggling. I’ve taken my meds so I’m hoping that they kick in soon.

I need a reprieve

Re: I can’t cope

just read your other posts, i hear how hard it is with the high anxiety and feeling out of control. really glad you're here, sitting with you 💜 @Captain24

also yay for cleaning the bath!! hearing about your hot chocolate makes me wanna get some too, what's the training for?

Re: I can’t cope

It’s really hard. @rav3n. my chest hurts so much. I have this surge going through my body. I’m not ok

It’s been a while since I have set foot into that bathroom, let alone have a bath. I need it to unwind.

Im doing a peer support champion course tomorrow and Thursday. I’m a little (well a lot) worried that it’ll be triggering, that my social phobia will get in the way and that my anxiety is going to make me look like the idiot that I am.

Re: I can’t cope

I feel sick. Since I’ve double the dose of AD’s I don’t feel well after taking them.

Im just going to go to bed. I don’t feel safe. So it’s my best option right now.

Thanks

Re: I can’t cope

So it’s a mental first aid course. We started with group rules. I managed to do most of them. I guess being in hospital helped.

Then we shared our lived experience. I dulled it down quite a bit. But others went into detail of their experiences. Some are quite horrific. But everyone shared.

We just sent over basic stuff on how to engage in conversation. How to start the conversation. Signs that someone may be struggling. We went through the continuum and it’s a trigger for me so I just zoned out for that bit.

I was stupid though and mentioned an attempt. I’m now worried that the others will look at me differently.

It was quite interesting. I did take a lot away from it and I coped reasonably ok. I did come home and have a hot bath as my self care activity.

Re: I can’t cope

That's awesome @Captain24 I'm glad to hear that you took a lot away from it and were able to handle some challenging aspects of it. It sounds like you did a really good job of being open, while also knowing when to distance yourself to protect your MH.

Also so great that you were able to come home and treat yourself to a lovely bath!
