Re: Tabaluga's

@Meowmy  just got up again here. should put more clothes on. trying to think of something that's achievable so the day not completely wasted. Having nice cup of tea w milk, 2 bags dilmah and honey

soaking brand new axe handle in water in vain hope of tightening it up by making wood swell (old brickie trick) bloody brand new and come loose, then look at it and slot for wedge cut off centre and handle could have been shaped a lot better, its too small for hole in axe head,so needs to be re-shaped below axe head, ok just realised bodge up job possiple, let it go loose again then file the handle below so it goes in further and gets tighter. cant take handle out once wedge is in unless destroy it, done b4 even thats not easy, best way if cut handle off and throw axehead with small bit of handle left inside in fire and burn it out ha @StuF

Re: Tabaluga's

Re: Tabaluga's

..can only do I what I can do re axe @Meowmy  never thought to look at it before bought it, would have thought they have quality control ha.

After soak it will keep using it then try and adjust it as best I can , then sand handle , coat w linseed oil, say a few Hail Marys , oh and put a protector under axe head, although sooner this one breaks the better lol. had 2 axe heads from when at kalgoorlie, threw them away trying to lighten load. was happy to buy a new one every year for 70 $ ish

Re: Tabaluga's

You can do it @Meowmy  🙂
